2011 VBS was GREAT!

Our 2011 VBS took us on a trip to the "Big City." Everyone had a great time. Thank you to the parents who faithfully brought you children each day. We were blessed to have them and we hope they were blessed by being here. To our workers, thank you, thank you, thank you for the terrific job you all did. We are already looking forward to 2012's adventure "Amazing Wonders Aviation." Amazing Wonders Aviation: Encountering God's Awesome Power...Based on Psalm 147:5. VBS participants will fly to marvelous God-made locations on earth. We look forward to see you again.

Each summer the First Baptist Church of Wellington participates in one of the Southern Baptist Convention's largest outreaches – Vacation Bible School – which brings hundreds of youngsters from around the Wellington area to our church for Bible lessons, music, food, and fun. Each of the five days has its Bible story and lesson. 

Of course, the Bible study is but one part of the fun-filled day.  Participants also complete theme oriented arts and crafts, learn some great songs, play sports and devour some tasty treats.

This year during "The Big Apple Adventure: Where Faith and Life Connect", kids will have a chance to discover that faith and life do connect through stories from the bible of people who stepped out in faith and connected with Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God,
